3rd Renewable Energy Week Expo 2026 Opens

Negros Occidental Gov. Bong Lacson led the opening of the 3rd Renewable Energy Week Expo 2026 earlier today at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City, gathering government agencies, local government units, energy experts, private sector partners, renewable energy advocates, and stakeholders.

The activity aims to promote energy security, efficiency, and the adoption of renewable energy solutions in Negros Occidental by strengthening local government capacity, supporting energy policies and transition initiatives, encouraging partnerships and investments, increasing public awareness, and fostering a broad multi-sectoral commitment toward a sustainable and inclusive energy future.

It features an exhibition showcasing renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency solutions, financing mechanisms, and support programs, along with policy and technical forums, LGU and community learning sessions, business and partnership matching activities, and public education initiatives aimed at promoting energy literacy, consumer awareness, collaboration, and sustainable energy solutions.

The three-day expo, which runs until May 14, is organized in partnership with the Negrosanon Initiative for Climate and the Environment (NICE), Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation, Inc. (NWTF), the Department of Energy (DOE), and other industry stakeholders.
