P39M HIMOGA-AN BRIDGE TURNED OVER IN TOBOSO
Gov. Bong Lacson together with representatives from the Dept. of Agriculture – VI led the inauguration and ceremonial turn over of the P39 Million Himoga-an Bridge in Brgy. Bug-ang, Municipality of Toboso, today (Oct. 21).
P39M HIMOGA-AN BRIDGE TURNED OVER IN TOBOSO

The infrastructure project, 75 Linear Meters Bridge, is a subproject of the Dept. of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP), and constructed with 80-10-10 counterparting scheme from the World Bank, National Government, and the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental.

Gov. Lacson said that the project will hasten the mobilization and transportation of the local farm produce to market centers.

“Rural infrastructure raises agricultural productivity and its benefits are not only limited to agricultural development, it also provides better access to education and health care”, he added.

Present in the activity were PRDP PSO Visayas Deputy Project Director, Engr. Jose Albert Barrogo, Toboso Mayor Richard Jaojoco, Provincial Project Management and Implementing Unit (PPMIU) Head, Dr. Narissa Lemoncito, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist OIC Dr. Dina Genzola, Provincial Engineer Ernie Mapa, and local officials of Toboso.
